Games & Learning Research
My work focuses on engagement, learning, and digital interactions.
Most often this involves socio-cultural constructs of learning and motivational theories as applied to commercial video games. Flow and SDT are strong frontrunners for theoretical frameworks for the dissertation.
Expanding research and teaching interests include design thinking, innovation, motivation, multimodality, informal learning, AR/VR/MR/XR, and esports.
